Tanisha Blakely is a creative producer and product strategist with a career spanning across media, marketing, and tech. The Detroit native began her media career after graduating with a B.A. in magazine journalism from Columbia College Chicago.

Early in her career, she worked as an online editor and writer for culturally influential media brands like Vibe magazine and AOL Black Voices. In 2006, she began working in media technology as a product manager, where she helped develop and launch New York Magazine's first blogs, Vulture and Grub Street, as well as Nymag.com’s first mobile product. She went on to develop tech solutions and editorial franchises as a product development leader for Travel & Leisure, Food & Wine, Nickelodeon, and Essence magazine.

In 2016, Tanisha launched her brand, Black Faves ®. It started as a community-driven marketplace and online travel guide that explores Black-owned businesses and the people behind them.

Today, Black Faves operates as a Black-Owned business lifestyle platform and content studio where she produces her own projects and creates original content for brands and organizations rooted in preserving community and culture.
